I Finally Found Whitening Strips That Work! This Lumineux Treatment Made My Smile Brighter in Under a Month

I take pride in my pearly whites. Having tried countless whitening strips and toothpastes over the years, I’ve found a system that actually works: Lumineux. 

With several products to choose from — strips, mouthwash, toothpaste, and a whitening pen — there’s a path to whiter teeth for everyone. During a month of testing, I primarily relied upon the whitening strips (though the brand sent me the entire line) and noticed a significant improvement in the white color and brightness of my teeth.

Each box has 21 treatments, with each treatment packet coming with two strips: one for your upper teeth and another for your lower teeth. Just place each strip across the front of your teeth, tucking the edge over the back. The instructions suggest leaving the strips on for 30 minutes, and I adhered to that timeframe.

I should note that the brand cautions there might be some white staining of the teeth, but I never experienced that during my treatments. However, when you peel the strips off, there is a gelatinous residue leftover on your teeth that might feel odd to some. It disperses on its own after a while, but I’m impatient, so I just manually spread it out across my teeth so it would dissipate more quickly.

This entire line is designed to be safe for sensitive teeth and gums, so unlike some treatments, it won’t cause discomfort during or after use. This is thanks to a series of calming, active ingredients like coconut oil, sage oil, Dead Sea salt, and lemon peel oil.

I used just seven treatments, and in tandem with the other products in the line, it was more than enough to whiten my smile (so just imagine the results post-21 treatments).

I do recommend buying the entire line, if feasible. I enjoyed the ease of incorporating the mouthwash and toothpaste into my routine, and the whitening pen is a great hack for low-maintenance, daily whitening.
